LifeLights™—help for wholeness & healing—is a high-quality, uniquely Jewish pastoral care resource.

LifeLights™ are inspirational, informational booklets about challenges to our emotional and spiritual lives and how to deal with them. Each of the LifeLight topics is written by a wise and caring soul—someone you probably know or know about—who knows the inner territory of grief, doubt, confusion, and longing.

Each LifeLight contains uniquely Jewish comfort, advice, and additional resources for help. In addition to providing wise words to light a difficult path, every booklet offers suggestions for further reading, and many list organizations—Jewish and secular—that can provide further help along with information on how to contact them.

Over 1,000 congregations, organizations, care facilities, and funeral homes bring LifeLights™ to people in need. We have received touching, powerful feedback both from those who have made LifeLights available, and from people who have used them. LifeLights are having a dramatic effect on people facing difficult times—providing comfort and even saving lives.

About the author

RABBI PERRY NETTER is a congregational rabbi, pastoral counselor, and certified divorce mediator with more than three decades of experience in rabbinic practice. He is the author of Divorce Is a Mitzvah: A Practical Guide to Finding Wholeness and Holiness When Your Marriage Dies.

Netter’s book was a Finalist for the Benjamin Franklin Award in Psychology/Self-Help. He received rabbinic ordination and a Master of Arts in Rabbinics from the Jewish Theological Seminary and served as an adjunct lecturer in Rabbinics at the Ziegler School of Rabbinic Studies at the University of Judaism. His writing has appeared in Moment, Sh'ma, and the Los Angeles Times.

When he’s not writing, Netter serves as spiritual leader of Temple Beth Am, a large Conservative congregation in metropolitan Los Angeles. His work as a divorce mediator and pastoral counselor informs the practical and spiritual guidance at the heart of his writing.
