About the author

ANNA MARIA HORNER is an artist, fabric designer, and the author of three sewing books: Anna Maria’s Needleworks Notebook, Handmade Beginnings: 24 Sewing Projects to Welcome Baby, and Seams to Me: 24 New Reasons to Love Sewing.

Horner holds a fine arts degree from the University of Tennessee and has partnered with more than two dozen manufacturers to produce housewares, gifts, and textiles, developing fabric lines for Free Spirit. Her work has been featured in international magazines and television shows.

When she’s not writing, Horner works as a textile and sewing pattern designer. That hands-on making practice runs directly through her books, each of which centers practical sewing instruction.

Anna Maria lives in Nashville, Tennessee, and is a mother of seven.
