About the author
BRUCE FOGLE D.V.M. M.R.C.V.S. is a veterinarian and the author of more than 40 books on pet care and animal behavior, translated into over 35 languages. His books include The Encyclopedia of the Dog, The Cat’s Mind and The Dog’s Mind.
Fogle was appointed a Member of the Order of the British Empire in 2004 for services to deaf people. He graduated in 1970 from the Ontario Veterinary College, University of Guelph.
When not writing, Fogle practices at the London Veterinary Clinic, which he founded in 1973, and lectures internationally at veterinary colleges on animal behavior. He is also co-founder of Hearing Dogs for Deaf People, a cause reflected in his MBE recognition.
Bruce lives and works in London.
