About the author
BETHNI HEMPHILL is a producer, nonprofit founder, and board member with deep roots in Southern gospel music. She is the co-author of The Southern Gospel Music Cookbook: Favorite Recipes from More Than 100 Gospel Music Performers, written with Brenda McClain.
Hemphill received the Hearts Aflame Award in 1996 for her producing work on the Cathedrals Reunion video. Her professional credits include producing videos and television shows, among them Homeland Harmony.
When she’s not writing, Hemphill leads Generosity Inc., the nonprofit organization she founded, and serves on the board of directors for Studio Tenn, a theater company based in Franklin, Tennessee.
Bethni is married to gospel songwriter, producer, and businessman Trent Hemphill.
